For Immediate Release – Announcing the New Location of the Arkansas Country Music Awards Scheduled for June 3, 2019. – Little Rock, Arkansas

Due to a successful and crowded 2018 event, the second annual Arkansas Country Music Awards will be held on Monday, June 3 at the Maumelle High School Auditorium, located just outside of Little Rock.

The Maumelle High School performing arts auditorium is 17,000 square feet with a seating capacity of 1,200 and stage size of 50’ x 90’. The auditorium is arranged with a cross-over aisle that can be used for intimate performances. The mid-house cross aisle is designed for increased accessibility and camera positions. The auditorium also features fly loft with loading gallery, orchestra pit with pit filler, catwalks, acoustical shell, sound booth, stage craft shop, black box theater, green room and choral and band rooms.

The red carpet event will feature around twenty performances, not including several VIP pre-show performances. Arkansas boasts six individual Country Music Hall of Fame inductees and numerous hit makers such as Johnny Cash, Glen Campbell, Joe Nichols, and many more. Keeping with this tradition, the Arkansas Country Music Awards event is focused on both well-known and new talent. Lifetime Achievement honors for 2018 went to Johnny Cash, Glen Campbell, Ed Bruce, Wayne Raney, and The Browns. The 2018 event was hosted by Arkansas natives Collin Raye and Charles Haymes.

“It was an absolulte honor to co-host the inaugural Arkansas Country Music Awards with Collin Raye,” Haymes said. “Many independent artists here in Arkansas were spotlighted and awarded, as well as the five Lifetime Achievement Awards. The move to the beautiful Maumelle High School Auditorium is just fabulous. Without question, the Second Annual Arkansas Country Music Awards will be another must see event.”

Nominations will open in January 2019 for a multitude of categories, ranging from the expected country categories as well inspirational and bluegrass categories. Also, venues, producers, engineers and instrumentalist categories will be present on the ballot.
